Purpose:
Provide consulting services, expertise, and training for the sale and support of precision ag solutions enabled by John Deere products as well as Jh and other aligned technology and applications. Ensures ongoing AMS/Precision Ag mainstreaming and works with all dealership departments to sell and support precision farming products and services. Supports and implements dealership Large Ag Strategy. Actively assists with internal and external training programs. Consistently exhibits TriGreen Equipment’s guiding principles as outlined in our mission statement.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensures understanding of precision ag solutions (Operations Center, Equipment Mobile, and other tools accessible via MyJohnDeere.com) and precision farming products internally (all departments) and externally
- Develops and delivers employee and customer training for data management, John Deere digital suite and advanced precision farming products
- Uses verbal, text, email and/or presentation skills to effectively communicate in individual, small group (1-10 people), and large group settings.
- Provides machine optimization and data management services to customers (i.e. advising customers on optimizing performance, reducing costs, operation efficiencies, etc.)
- Serves as the internal and external technical specialist for all precision farming products
- Provides recommendations on ordering option codes to Sales Staff
- Provides recommendations of stocking/inventory requirements for solutions enablement
- Implements the adoption of new technology and product offerings
- Support the dealership efforts with third-party providers (Certified Crop Advisor, Ag Service Provider, etc.) and related John Deere businesses
- Implements on-farm trials to demonstrate localized product results
- Obtain CCA Certification within two years of employment (if not a current CCA)
- Promotes TriGreen Equipment in a professional, honest manner (to include personal appearance and dress)
- Interacts in a positive and respectful manner with customers and fellow employees.
- Attends applicable training, events and seminars
- Maintains assigned company vehicles and equipment
- Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
- Maintain customer goodwill by greeting and acknowledge all customers he/she comes in contact with
- Perform other duties as assigned

- 40% Leighton Branch
- 20% Columbia Branch
- 40% Florence Branch
Measurable Goals
- 80 Hours Time Billed Monthly (Includes Time Billed to Support and Optimization Plans); utilize Service Admin Portal and/or Equip to track billed time.
Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:
- Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record required
- One – three year(s) of agricultural work experience preferred
- Proficient knowledge of electrical and wireless communication systems
- Ability to operate with a solutions approach and identify existing/emerging customer needs
- Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
- Must have analytical, business planning, problem solving, communication, organizational and interpersonal people skills.
- Ability to speak effectively in one or more group settings
- High School diploma or GED equivalent required, some college/vocational training preferred
- Certified Crop Advisor certification or equivalent preferred
- Associates degree or Bachelors Degree in Agronomy, Agriculture Business, or Agriculture Mechanization preferred
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds; tasks may include lifting, bending, squatting, standing, sitting for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays
