In 1946, Ted Hedden, originally an employee of John Deere, went into business with Walter Flemming to open Farmer’s Tractor Company in downtown Huntsville until moving to present-day South Memorial Drive in 1956. Then, in 1971, Ted’s son Don Hedden came into the business and was joined by Larry and Charles Hedden. In August 2001, they moved to the current location at Research Park.
