As you possibly know, your Tractor is equipped with what is called an Exhaust Filter, often called a Diesel Exhaust Filter, or simply DPF. This filter was added to meet the EPS’s Tier IV emissions requirements. The DPF captures soot in the exhaust, or Particulate Matter (PM) keeping it from going into the environment. Like any filter, sooner or later it needs to be cleaned, and that is the reason why your machine has new symbols and switches that are sometimes confusing.
