First of all, I want to thank you for your business and continued support of TriGreen Equipment. With your purchase of a new John Deere tractor, there are a few things of which you need to be aware. Your new John Deere tractor meets the requirements that the EPA has signed into law. These changes were adopted in 2004 and have been phased in by John Deere to be ready for the new law’s requirements in 2015.
The attached document can help educate you on the Interim and Final Tier 4 regeneration process that John Deere has designed. As now required by law, John Deere uses an exhaust filter to reduce particulate matter. Your tractor is designed to clean this filter through a process called regeneration. This regeneration process in vital to your tractor’s performance. If you do not allow your tractor to perform this necessary function, it will not run efficiently and will eventually lead to needed maintenance by your servicing dealer. If this type of maintenance is needed, it will not be covered under factory warranty.
Please take a moment to review the information provided about the regeneration process. If you have questions about your specific tractor, please visit https://www.deere.com/en_US/services_and_support/engine-information/engine-information.page, reference your Owner’s Manual, or contact your local TriGreen service department. We will be glad to assist you.
Sincerely,
Corey Webb
